With Christianity and church attendance on the decrease and the number of non-religious and other belief systems increasing, will Christianity become a minority religion in the U.S.?

Not only Christianity, but all the so called holy Religions are to be wiped out from the face of this earth at once, so that true love and peace and harmony may descend on this earth. Nothing is too late. Thanks.

I tend to agree. Religion automatically places a wedge between two people of different faiths.

    • 2009 April 8

and then what happens after your time here on earth ends? what happens to your soul? heaven or hell?

      • 2009 April 8

I don’t know and neither do you.
You may believe, but you don’t know.

        • 2009 April 8

Actually – I do know (speaking for mysefl). I am not about organized religion & such, I am a person of faith and wholeheartedly believe in GOD and I believe in the Bible. It’s simple as that..

          • 2009 April 8

            Faith is belief, not knowledge.

            • 2009 April 8

lack of faith is lack of believing..

I think that’s the entire point. Good job in pointing out your whole reason for believing……”because faith is belief and belief is faith”. Good one. *sigh* Got another awe inspiring quote you heard another Christian say?

I vote Yes all current religions not just Cristianity. The interesting question that follows this is: Will they be replaced by new religions? I think human history indicates that they will unfortunately

  3. 2009 March 28

By the way….the Christian Disposal photo must have been taken in close proximity of my area. Add the prefix 636 to the phone number and you get Christian Disposal in Winfield, MO.

    One can hope.

  5. 2009 March 28

No, don’t seeing it happen, this country is far too religious for it to happen.

  6. 2009 March 29

No, unfortunately I don’t think so. They will loose some influence and maybe one day can be considered a minority. But I don’t expect to experience this.

I think it’ll happen, but probably not in our lifetimes. But I’m hopeful that it will eventually happen. Now, whether or not these religions will be replaced by new ones… I don’t know. That’s pretty likely.
I’d be happy if people just had their little spirituality groups/communities but free of dogma. The whole believing in fake shit is what gets me.

Are their some nutty Christians out there? Of course. But remove everything that followers of Jesus have built in America and we would be much worse for it. How many homeless shelters are operated by atheists? How about the major universities founded by denominational bodies such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Emory, Syracuse, Duke, Notre Dame? The vast majority of hospitals in America have names like Baptist, Methodist and Saint attached to them somehow. Please be intellectually honest enough to admit the positive impact Christianity has had on civilization. You act as though getting rid of religion will suddenly make everyone more moral, acceptiing, etc. Are you kidding? Detail for me the ideas, creativity, generosity and compassion that have arisen from the irreligious. Personally I’m part of an organization that provided more than 12,000 nights of lodging, 36,000 meals and fulfilled more than 1,000 requests for furniture, clothing, appliances and child-care items in 2008. I imagine the folks sleeping under our roof, eating our food and receiving much-needed items are really glad there are idiots like me, my staff and our hundreds of donors who believe in a self-giving God who calls His followers to be self-giving in return (“freely you have received, freely give.”) Have a great day!

Are you saying that you are only helping your fellow humans in need because of your religion?

Here’s a list of a few secular charity and aid groups….

Nope, wrong. These achievements had nothing to do with their delusional beliefs about invisible sky-pixies. Universities were founded by people in bygone eras who were part of their culture’s Iron Age superstition. Religion has nothing to do with morality, and yes, when religion is finally tossed on the garbage heap of humanity, perhaps the coerced lunatics will become moral. Your group does not need religious nonsense to provide the services you list. It’s just a convenient gathering place that provides services which can otherwise also be provided without the invisible cloud being mumbo-jumbo. Drop the god and join the reality-based community.

Religion is indoctrinated from birth. People are programmed to believe it and never question it. It is difficult to break that cycle. I’m a rare example.

Christianity will be a minority in America one day. But it will certainly take time.

    • 2009 March 30

I agree. Only when they become a minority that they will know about oppression and persecution.

      • 2009 April 8

All I can do is pray to GOD for all of mankind! It’s just very sad & frustrating how people can turn their backs on God..idk..I will just keep praying.

        • 2009 April 8

Prayer: How to do nothing and still think you’re helping

While you’re praying, ask your God to give my cousin a new leg. How much faith will that take?

          • 2009 April 8

No….I’m not sure abt your beliefs (?)..I just ran into this website..just providing my input. I just don’t understand how anyone cannot believe..

          • 2009 April 8

And I want a million bucks, but that’s not going to happen..

            • 2009 April 8

Why can’t your God heal amputees?

              • 2009 April 8

That’s not for ME to answer nor I don’t think you wd want me to dictate the Bible to give you an understanding of why things are the way they are. This is not a perfect world nor it was not intended to be..we are here temporarily..our lives will end some day..so what do you think wil happen when you leave this earth? Something has to happen to all of us at the end of our lives and I want know what YOU think…cause I know what will happen to mine.

What a fruitcake. No, praying to a make belief friend is NOT all you can do. In fact it is doing nothing at all. Get up off your knees and stop talking to yourself. Get out there in the real world and do some good.

You need not dictate the bible YR we know it as well or better than you I am sure. Your statement “Something has to happen to all of us at the end of our lives” is very telling. Your mind as a believer is conditioned to accept that as truth. As you type it you honestly cannot concieve of any other alternative. Try this on for size:

You YR are a biological organism just like me and my dog my house plant and every other living thing. Just like every other living thing you will one day die, end of story. Nothing else happens, no fireworks, no heaven, no hell, no judgment, and no wrath….just death.

The believers egocentric view of life says:
I am aware of my own existence = therefore my existence must persist.

This is foolishness to the Nth degree.

      • 2009 April 9

My comment “something has to happen to us at the end…” was directed to someone that has differing views from mine, hence, you basically just noted no life after death, but that’s just your belief, as well. Looks like YOUR mind as a believer of no life after death is conditioned to accept THAT as the truth. I’ve taken science classes in school..so no need to throw out the “biological organism” stuff. Just wanted some feedback. thanks!

Believing in an afterlife reminds me of the fictional vampire stories.

Is that why Christians drink symbolic blood?

You are the one making the afterlife claim bible banger. You need to provide evidence for it. You see, there is no evidence. Zero, none nada, zilch, zip.

And this does not make one a “believer in no afterlife”. It’s akin to Atheism in that freethinkers are simply waiting for your evidence.

I’m sorry. But i do believe in a God. IT’s just that people now these days are to blind not to seee it. Because they don’t want to believe in something that is bigger than THEMSELVES that you can’t see. And if you want proof, it’s called faith. Faith is my proof to you that there is a God. I don’t go to church that much, because there are more non christians in church, than there is on the outside. But me and God have a very close relationship than anyone in my life. He knows more about me that anyone on this earth, and has been there for me, in my bad moments in life. But he has never left my side. And I thank Him for that. MAke fun at it if you want, but at least I know what’s true in my heart.

Simply put to all believers FAITH is NOT proof merely your own personal belief

If you ‘wipe out’ real Christianity from this earth (which is totally impossible), you will have the real hell on earth. This people are salt of the earth and keep it in an acceptable condition. Human without God is an animal.

We’ve had ‘real Christianity’. I wish the Rapture would take them. We’re running out of countries for them to invade.
